Ertex Holding

The group behind
the workshop.

Ertex has worked in one narrow field since 1989 — bespoke VIP vehicle design and manufacture — supported by a group whose interests extend into hospitality and retail property in Turkey.

Mission, vision, values

“Your office on the highway”

The mission has stayed unusually consistent: give people the comfort of their office or their home while they are travelling. The vision that follows from it is to remain the transport choice clients trust first, through the product rather than the marketing.

Four values sit underneath every project — safety, comfort, trust and luxury, in that order. Safety comes first because it is the only one a client cannot inspect for themselves.

Safety
Tested structures, approved mountings, completed homologation
Trust
Clients who return for a second and third vehicle

Group

Beyond the automotive business

Ertex Group also operates in hospitality and retail property in several Turkish cities.

Big Thermal Resort

The largest thermal hotel in its region, set on 300,000 m² of land with 40,000 m² of indoor space and a 580-bed capacity. The Ertex Grove sits immediately beside it.

BATIPARK

A shopping centre on 120,000 m² of land with 140,000 m² of indoor space and 162 stores.

Electric vehicles

An electric programme that ran twenty years early

Ertex built Turkey's first locally developed concept battery-electric vehicle in 2006 — a piece of history that still informs how the company approaches electrification today.

Etox electric vehicle developed by Ertex

Ertex designed Turkey's first sports car, the Etox. The government subsequently funded a programme of more than two million US dollars to redevelop it as an electric vehicle, and Ertex delivered it in partnership with Middle East Technical University.

The market was not ready — there was effectively no charging infrastructure in Turkey at the time — so the decision was taken not to move to series production. The engineering knowledge stayed in the company, and it is the reason a platform like the fully electric Mercedes VLE is familiar ground rather than a new departure.

International presence

Shown where the industry looks

Ertex has exhibited at major international motor and aerospace events over the years, which is how much of the company's export business began.

Clients

A narrow client base, by design

Ertex works with senior public officials, business owners and figures from sport and the arts — clients who tend to be introduced by someone who already owns one of our vehicles rather than won through advertising.

Most projects are covered by confidentiality, so specific vehicles and owners are not published. What can be said is that a large share of the order book is repeat business, which in a market this small is the only reputation measure that means anything.

Inside the showrooms

Where clients configure a vehicle

Each showroom is designed as a private viewing environment rather than a sales floor — materials in hand, finished vehicles to sit in, and space to take the decision slowly.

Ertex Grove

For every vehicle that leaves the workshop, ten cedar trees are planted on Ertex Holding land in Kırşehir and recorded against that vehicle. Read about the programme →
