Ertex Grove begins: ten trees for every vehicle
Ten Taurus cedars are now planted in Kırşehir for every vehicle that leaves the workshop, each one recorded against that vehicle.
A well-maintained vehicle lasts about thirty years. A Taurus cedar, in the right ground, can stand for three hundred. That gap is the whole idea behind Ertex Grove: for every vehicle delivered, ten cedars are planted on Ertex Holding land in Kırşehir, immediately beside Big Thermal Resort.
Each planting is documented. Species, location and age are recorded against the vehicle's masked chassis reference, so the trees are tied to a specific vehicle rather than to a general company pledge. Ertex carries out the field care, and any losses are replaced in the following planting season.
The site is not easy ground — across July, August and September it receives roughly thirty millimetres of rain in total — so planting happens in spring and drip irrigation runs through the dry months. Every sapling stays Ertex's responsibility for its first three years. The grove can be visited at any time.
